My name is Mark Sweeney, and I color comics. I am currently coloring Warren Ellis' Black Summer, drawn by Juan Jose Ryp. Issue's 0 to 5 are out now, and Black Summer Alpha, which collects and reprints issues #0 & #1 is out Oct. 24 Get them while you can!

I also color covers for Doktor Sleepless, Lady Death, and more, all for Avatar Press.

I have been working in comics since 1998, quit my dayjob in 2001, and have been coloring full time for several years. To see what other books I have colored over the years, look in the credits under 'About Me'

Prior to working in comics, I spent nearly 20 years in newspaper production departments, doing everything from cut and paste before the days of DTP, to scanning, color correction, color separations and four color prepress work, full color ad design, layout and prepress, digital pagination, and more. If it involved Photoshop, Illustrator, or Quark Express, I had my hand in it.

I live in British Columbia, Canada, and work from my home office. The rare times I'm not working, I enjoy reading, playing in a darts league, and also playing poker in the Pirana Poker Tour.
